LIMITLESS OPPORTUNITIES IN SCOUTING
For over 100 years Sea Scouting has promoted better citizenship and improved members’ boating skills through instruction and practice in water safety, boating skills, outdoor, social, service experiences, and knowledge of our maritime heritage.
Sea Scout units–called ships–are established all across the country on oceans, bays, rivers, and lakes. They provide limitless opportunities and exciting challenges that you won’t find anywhere else. Sea Scouts is a place to grow and learn, find adventure, and build long lasting friendships.
ADVENTURE
Sea Scouts experience unforgettable adventures on the water, from sailing and kayaking to scuba diving and seamanship. They develop a deeper appreciation for the maritime world and learn valuable skills that last a lifetime. With a focus on teamwork and leadership, Sea Scouts embark on thrilling expeditions that foster lifelong friendships.
TRAINING
Sea Scouts receive hands-on training in a variety of nautical skills, including sailing, navigation, and engine maintenance. Through expert instruction and mentorship, they develop the knowledge and confidence to take charge of their own vessels and crews. This comprehensive training prepares Sea Scouts for success in maritime careers and beyond.
MARITIME HERITAGE
Sea Scouts discover the rich history and traditions of the maritime world, from the Age of Sail to modern-day naval operations. Through interactive learning experiences and community engagement, they develop a deeper appreciation for the cultural and historical significance of the sea. By embracing their maritime heritage, Sea Scouts become stewards of the ocean and its traditions.
