Building on the record-shattering success of last year, the 2026 Rendezvous invites Scouts of all ages to Camp Mooney for the Pacific Crest Council’s premier spring gathering. This event bridges the gap between the past and the future blending the rugged spirit of 19th-century Mountain Man with modern Scouting adventures. Whether you are testing your aim at the tomahawk range, branding your gear, or competing in the Mountain Man Mile, Rendezvous offers an unparalleled weekend of fellowship and skill-building.
As our council’s largest annual gathering, Rendezvous is designed for every program–from Cub Scouts and Scouts BSA to Venturing and Sea Scouts. Participants can look forward to a diverse array of activities including blacksmithing, Dutch Oven cooking, and flint-and-steel fire starting, alongside modern STEM challenges, HAM radio, and high-energy games.
Join over 600 fellows Scouts and Scouters at Camp Mooney this spring to celebrate our heritage, master new outdoor skills, and kick off the summer camping season with an unforgettable campfire program. Don’t miss you chance to be part of history for the 30th Rendezvous!

Special Events
Dutch Oven Cookoff
Participants will need to bring their best recipes and be at the top of their game for this popular annual event. Scouts and Scouters will face some of the most experienced Dutch Oven chefs the council has to offer – the judges. The competition will be intense as participants face off to not only win great prizes, but to be crowned the best Dutch Oven chef in the Pacific Crest Council. Check the leader’s guide for the official rules.
Mountain Man Mile
Participants will compete in a grueling, approximately one mile course that will test their ability to cover a variety of terrain – all with a small cup of drink in their mouth! You must start and end the race with the same amount of drink in your mouth or you won’t win. Just being the fastest will not be enough to take home the prize.Â
Camp Mooney Waterfront
Didn’t think Camp Mooney had a waterfront? Think again! This will be a special event on Saturday you will not want to miss – no swim suits or towel required!
Evening Campfire & OA Callout
The weekend will culminate in the Saturday evening campfire program put on by Crew 697 and camp staff alumni followed by the Order of the Arrow callout ceremony presented by Kunamokst Lodge.
Staffing Opportunity
We need enthusiastic volunteers to help run activities and ensure the event is a success!
