Mercy Flights Explorer Post 131 Advisor Ed Sutton was recognized with the Oregon Silver Sparky Award from the State Fire Marshal for his 30 years of public safety education. The Medford-based Explorer post gives young adults hands-on emergency training like ambulance ride-alongs. Sutton has devoted decades to running the program to honor his late son.
