This summer has been full of service and adventure for members of the Order of the Arrow in the Pacific Crest Council. Across the council and around the nation, members of Kunamokst Lodge have been busy leading units, serving our camps, and experiencing the best Scouting has to offer. From staffing our local camps at Baker, McLoughlin, and Melakwa to serving on Operation Arrow staff at the National Jamboree, attending the Jamboree as a participant, completing a trek at a high adventure base, or welcoming new members into the lodge at an induction weekend, it has been a fantastic summer for the Order of the Arrow.
It is hard to believe it right now as many members across the lodge seek shelter from hot days and smoke-filled skies, but fall is just around the corner! Soon, the heat and smoke will give way to the cool, crisp air and colorful foliage of a Pacific Northwest autumn. In the Order of the Arrow, our program is just heating up with two of the biggest events of the year on the horizon.
Section G16 Conclave
On September 11–13, nearly 300 Arrowmen from across Oregon and southern Washington will gather at Rogue Community College in Grants Pass for the Section G16 Conclave. Conclave is a weekend packed with fun activities, training sessions, special events, competitions, an exciting evening show, and much more. This year’s theme, “Standing the Test of Time,” brings the program to life while celebrating the history and culture of America.
While dunk tanks, endless snow cones, and escape rooms are highlights, Kunamokst Lodge is stepping up to take on a bigger role. As the host lodge this year, Kunamokst will serve conclave by organizing and providing several critical aspects of the event, including:
Meal service
Facilities and logistics
Camp health officers
The Conclave Service Corps – a dedicated group of Arrowmen whose sole purpose is to provide cheerful service to the event.
We need your help! Any Arrowman, youth or adult, can serve on the service corps. Volunteers work in shifts to ensure everyone has time to experience everything conclave has to offer. If you are interested in providing cheerful service, please reach out to the lodge at info@kunamokst.org.

Fall Fellowship
Kunamokst Lodge will bring its program year to a close on October 2–4 at Camp McLoughlin with Fall Fellowship. Arrowmen can expect a weekend packed with fun games and activities, an evening show, silent and oral auctions, officer elections, and the annual lodge awards banquet.
This is an opportunity for all Arrowmen to come together in fellowship and brotherhood to celebrate an amazing first year of Kunamokst Lodge, look toward the future, and recognize outstanding members.
Can’t make the entire weekend? You can attend just for the banquet on Saturday night for only $15!
For our youth Arrowmen, we encourage you to run for a leadership position in the lodge. We have eight elected positions to choose from, each responsible for key parts of the lodge’s program and operations throughout the year. The Order of the Arrow provides opportunities that cannot be found elsewhere in Scouting, but you must take the first step.
