There is something magical about watching a young person experience Scouting for the very first time.
It might be the excitement of roasting a marshmallow over a campfire, the pride of earning their first adventure or merit badge, the thrill of hitting the bullseye in archery, or the simple joy of making a new friend. Those moments become memories that last a lifetime—and they are just the beginning.
Scouting is where curiosity becomes confidence, challenges become achievements, and strangers become lifelong friends. It is a place where young people learn to lead, serve, explore, and discover that they are capable of far more than they ever imagined.
As we prepare for our fall recruitment season across the Pacific Crest Council, we invite families throughout our communities to experience the adventure for themselves. Whether they dream of camping beneath the stars, racing a Pinewood Derby car, hiking mountain trails, or simply being part of a team where they belong, there is a place for them in Scouting.
The greatest adventures often begin with a single “yes.” This fall, help your friends discover the magic, the friendships, and the confidence that Scouting provides. Invite a neighbor, a classmate, or a friend to attend a joining event and see firsthand why generations of families have chosen Scouting.
Together, let’s welcome a new generation of Scouts and give them the opportunity to experience an adventure that will change their lives forever.
